What dream-full slumber we were in 
                         [স্বপনে দোঁহে ছিনু কী মোহে ]


স্বপনে দোঁহে ছিনু কী মোহে ,
In what dream-full slumber, we were, alluring !
 জাগার বেলা হল -
Time is up for getting up and going-
যাবার আগে শেষ  কথাটি বোলো। ১
Before I depart, tell me your  the-last word.

ফিরিয়া  চেয়ে এমন কিছু দিয়ো
Give me something, not looking back at  me again
বেদনা হবে পরম-রমণীয় -
 Make my pains of separation quite alluring.
আমার মনে রহিবে নিরবধি
To engrave this moment in my heart always,
বিদায়খনে ক্ষণেক তরে  যদি
At this moment of separation of ties
সজল আঁখি তোলো । ২
Just for once, see my face with your tearful eyes

নিমেষহারা এ শুকতারা এমনি ঊষাকালে
With wink-less gaze,this Morning Star,
shall rise up in my next life's dawn
উঠিবে দূরে বিরহ আকাশ-ভালে।
Throwing lights to my distant sky of this separation days;
রজনীশেষে  এই যে শেষ  কাঁদা
At this fag end of my life's evening, my last moments' cries -
বীণার তারে পড়িল  তাহা বাঁধা,

হারানো মণি স্বপনে গাঁথা রবে -
The lost diamonds shall remain strung in my dreams,
হে বিরহিণী , আপন হাতে তবে
Oh, my depressed beloved, then by own hands of your
 বিদায় দ্বার খোলো। ৩
And open now my get-away gate's door..
